Schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Board of Education Meeting

The Board of Education will meet on Wednesday, January 21, at 7 p.m. in the Parsons Government Center Board Room for a budget workshop. Board members will continue to ask questions – and, potentially, vote on the budget that evening. An additional workshop session has been reserved for Thursday, January 22, if the Board should need it.

Kindergarten Registration 2026-2027

Kindergarten registration will open for the 2026-2027 school year on Monday, January 12. Kindergarten registration will be conducted exclusively online using the PowerSchool Parent Portal found on the district’s website at https://www.milforded.org/page/registration.

Senator Murphy's Annual Martin Luther King Jr Essay Contest

Calling all students to participate in honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by submitting essays that reflect on Dr. King’s dream, their aspirations, and the importance of what Dr. King means to them. The contest will open on Monday, January 19, and close on February 23. Visit this site to submit an essay or for more information.

Youth United

The first Youth United meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, January 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Milford United Way. Youth United is a student-led organization committed to breaking the stigma of and bringing a new perspective to homelessness.

Girl Scout Troop

ASAP! Youth Ensemble

For students in grades 5-12, they can sign up for the ASAP! Youth Ensemble. They will master their instrument and explore new
musical techniques in a supportive, engaging
