Week of the Young Child

Students in Milford Public Schools' preschool and kindergarten programs participated in a week of special projects to celebrate the Week of the Young Child.  Organized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the purpose of the week is to bring public attention to the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.  

Kindergarten Registration 2026-2027

Kindergarten registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year. Kindergarten registration will be conducted exclusively online using the PowerSchool Parent Portal found on the district’s website at https://www.milforded.org/page/registration.

Food Drive

Join us in supporting our community! We are participating in a citywide food drive this week through April 30. There are collection boxes at all of the schools and the Parsons Government Center. The food drive will have a culminating event on May 1 on the Milford Green. 

Harborside Theater Production

Harborside students will present a production of "The SpongeBob Musical" on Saturday, April 25, at Jonathan Law High School. Purchase tickets here!

Springtime Reading Event

Spring Plant Sale

The Jonathan Law Music Booster Club is hosting a flower and plant sale. Order yours by May 1 here. Pick-up will be on May 8 from 4-7 p.m. 

Learn to be a Safe Adult 

The South Central Child Advocacy Center in partnership with the Rape Crisis Center of Milford and the Women & Families Center Sexual Assault Crisis Services, will host a virtual training on April 20 for guardians to learn how to be a safe adult. Sign up here.

Milford's Earth Day celebration will take place Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the beautiful Downtown Milford Green.

Coastal Center at Milford Point Summer Camp

The Connecticut Audubon Society is hosting a day camp at the Coastal Center at Milford Point. Registration is open. Sessions run weekly from June 15 – August 14.
