This week, we spotlighted the impact of HQI Live!, our innovative professional learning model. To mark the release of a new case study by Partners for Educational Leadershipwe hosted a dynamic panel discussion moderated by former U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona, along with district leaders, teachers, and a student. Hearing from them about the transformative effects of this work firsthand was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we commit to high-quality instruction.

Kindergarten Registration 2026-2027

Kindergarten registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year. Kindergarten registration will be conducted exclusively online using the PowerSchool Parent Portal found on the district’s website at https://www.milforded.org/page/registration.

Harborside Theater Production

Mayor's Youth Awards

Each year, the Mayor's Office and the Milford Department of Human Services/Youth and Family Services recognize youth who have performed outstanding service to improve Milford. Teachers, parents, and community members nominate youth for this award. Nominate a student using this link!

ASAP!'s Celebration of Young Writers

Express your creativity and share your stories! All students are encouraged to submit a piece of writing to ASAP!'s annual event. Selected texts will be featured in a publication and on stage at ASAP! Celebrates Courage on May 30, 2026. Submissions open on February 2, 2026 and close on March 22. Submit your work here!

Middle School Girls Discussion

The Milford Department of Human Services/Youth & Family Services will host a discussion designed for Middle School girls and mothers/support person about body image, self-esteem, confidence, and pressures to be “perfect” on April 16, at Bridgeport Hospital. Sign up here!

The Milford Health Department will host an event where a registered dietician will share information on healthy eating on March 25 at the Milford Public Library at 5:30 p.m.

The Connecticut Audubon Society is hosting a day camp at the Coastal Center at Milford Point. Registration is open. Sessions run weekly from June 15 – August 14.
