Unified Basketball Tournament

Foran and Law High Schools came together for their annual Unified Basketball Tournament on Wednesday! With every pass, shot, and cheer, students showed that inclusion, teamwork, and heart are what truly make the game unforgettable.

Senator Murphy's Annual Martin Luther King Jr Essay Contest

Calling all students to participate in honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by submitting essays that reflect on Dr. King’s dream, their aspirations, and the importance of what Dr. King means to them. The contest will open on Monday, January 19, and close on February 23. Visit this site to submit an essay or for more information.

Presidential 1776 Award

The U.S. Department of Education has launched a history competition for high school students. The contest tests students' knowledge of the road to independence, the American Revolutionary War, and the ideas that shaped our nation. The competition includes a first-round online exam, in-person regional semifinals, and a nationally-broadcast final in Washington, D.C.Register here!

ASAP!'s Celebration of Young Writers

Express your creativity and share your stories! All students are encouraged to submit a piece of writing to ASAP!'s annual event. Selected texts will be featured in a publication and on stage at ASAP! Celebrates Courage on May 30, 2026. Submissions open on February 2, 2026 and close on March 22. Submit your work here!

Girl Scout Troop

Scouting America

Troop 711 is open for girls ages 11-17. The troop meets on Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m.

YMCA Camp Hi-Rock

The Woodruff Family Y is hosting a drop-in info session on February 24 from 4-6 p.m. about YMCA Camp Hi-Rock which offers programs for ages 7-17. Learn more here!

Coastal Center at Milford Point Summer Camp

The Connecticut Audubon Society is hosting a day camp at the Coastal Center at Milford Point. Registration is open. Sessions run weekly from June 15 – August 14.
