Wahooo! Let the holidays begin! We are humbled by your support, your interest, and your readership and we are grateful for the time you spend with us reading each UNE installment.  We hope you take time to rest, rejuvenate, and enjoy all that comes your way during the holiday break.  Happy holidays, everyone, and we’ll see you again on Tuesday, Jan. 3rd.

 

SCHEDULE

Friday, Dec. 23rd: Schools/Offices Closed, Holiday Break Begins – See you again on Tuesday, Jan. 3rd!

 

Monday, Dec. 26 – Monday, Jan. 2nd: Schools* Closed

Tuesday, Jan. 3rd: Schools Back in Session

 

*Our Central Office staff members will be following an altered schedule, as well.  Staff will be available, in a limited capacity, at Parsons from Tuesday, December 27th to Thursday, December 29th.  You may want to call ahead to make sure the person you need to see is in the office before you make the trip.

Ready to Learn Now Accepting Enrollment Applications for Fall 2023

The Spring 2023 Adult Ed Program Catalog Released Today; Registration Portal for Public to Open on Tuesday, 12/27

The Catalog’s here! The Catalog’s here!  Happy to let you know the Spring 2023 Course List Catalog has been released today so you can have a chance to take a look at all the terrific courses that will be available, beginning in January. Now, that said, please note that THE REGISTRATION PORTAL (to actually register for classes) WILL OPEN ON  DEC. 27TH (next week).  As always, we hope to see you at one or more of our Adult Education classes in the Spring!

 

Paying for Meals to Resume on Monday, Jan. 9th

As you know, the last day for free meals for all students will be Friday, Jan. 6th.  Students will need to pay for breakfasts and lunches beginning Monday, Jan. 9th.  That said, we are publishing the prices for breakfast and lunch meals (effective Jan. 9th). Families who have already qualified for Free/Reduced Price meals have been notified of their status and their child’s meal service will not be interrupted when we return to school.  If you did not receive a letter and wish to apply for reduced-price or free meals going forward, you must complete the Free/Reduced-Price Application as soon as possible.  Please check out our information on the district website HERE.

BREAKFAST

Elementary: $1.75

Middle School: $2.00

High School: $2.50

 

LUNCH

Elementary: $3.35

Middle School: $3.60

High School: $3.85

 

At all levels, reduced-price breakfasts for qualifying families are 30¢.

At all levels, reduced-price lunches for qualifying families are 40¢.

As you know, the MPL hosts HUNDREDS of projects and programs throughout the year – FREE – to all, thanks to the resources provided by the Friends of Milford Library. The FOML welcomes everyone and memberships start at only $15 (individual) for the entire year. Why not put the MPL on your holiday list this year and give the gift that keeps on giving all year long?

 

Milford Arts Council Offers Incentive for Family Attendance at Shows

We are pleased to report the Milford Arts Council (MAC) is offering an incentive to families so they may enjoy any of the terrific performances together.  Their new program promotes “Attend Our Events and Bring Your Kids for $5!  Experience Our Events Together!”  All you need to do is call (203) 878-6647 to arrange for the special pricing. Coming in January: Deadgrass, a string band adventure through Jerry Garcia’s musical world (Jan. 7th); and Wynona Wang, Classical Pianist (Jan. 19th).
