Milford Approved to National External Diploma Program (NEDP); Life Experiences Can Apply Toward HS Diploma

The Milford Adult Education program has just been named as an official provider of the National External Diploma Program (NEDP) – an offering that gives adults an alternate way to earn a high school diploma with credit given for a person’s life experiences.  The NEDP was created in 1975, incorporating an assessment and credentialing system based on demonstrated proficiency for academic tasks that the individual had acquired over time. With its recent approval, Milford now joins only 23 other programs authorized to offer the NEDP program across Connecticut.

Our department’s goal is to help Milford residents create a better livelihood for themselves and their families and NEDP allows us another tool as we work towards fulfilling that goal. If you or someone you know would like to learn more about earning your high school diploma, please contact us at (203) 783-3461.
