In accordance with state guidelines and federal regulations on PRIVACY RIGHTS OF PARENTS AND STUDENTS, records which are no longer needed by the Milford School System will be destroyed in August 2026. These records will include:
Special Education/Confidential records for students who graduated or would have graduated in 2019 (Official transcripts for these students WILL NOT BE DESTROYED, but maintained by the high school), and K-8 records of students who graduated or would have graduated in 2019. Interested parties who wish to review the records before they are destroyed may do so by contacting the Pupil Personnel Office, Milford Board of Education, (203) 783-3410 as soon as possible.
PUBLIC NOTICE ON SCHOOL RECORDS
The Milford Public Schools follow policies governing the maintenance of student records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Acts of 1974 (P.L. 93-380). Copies of these policies are available in the Milford Public Schools Policies, Regulations and Bylaws which are on file in the office of the Director of Educational Services and Personnel.
