We are thrilled to share that Erica Biagetti has been appointed to the position of Director of Food Services. Ms. Biagetti will be stepping into this role following the retirement of Eileen Faustich, who served the district for over 30 years.
Ms. Biagetti brings an incredible wealth of experience to the team, with over 20 years in the hospitality and school nutrition fields. Notably, this appointment marks a homecoming, as she began her school food services career in Milford as the Assistant Director of Food Services for the district. Since then, she has successfully led major food service operations across Connecticut, serving as Director for Guilford Public Schools and most recently for Cheshire Public Schools, where she oversaw operations for seven buildings and a team of 50 staff members serving over 4,400 students.
Throughout her career, Ms. Biagetti has consistently demonstrated strong fiscal stewardship and innovative leadership. She has a proven track record of optimizing program resources and spearheading program growth through designing customized menus and grant writing for innovative culinary and greenhouse projects. A highly respected leader in her field, she is a certified School Nutrition Specialist and recently served as the State President of the School Nutrition Association of Connecticut, where she was also honored by her peers with the Rising Star Director award.
Ms. Biagetti earned her Bachelor of Science in Food Service and Management from Johnson & Wales University in 2006.
