As the school year winds down, the Milford Public Schools are honoring their schools’ Teachers, Paraeducators, and Parents of the Year for 2026. Nominations were solicited in early April, and the honorees were selected at each school in the weeks following.
Beyond the schoolwide honorees, the district selects one winner from each category.
The Districtwide Teacher of the Year is Austin Cesare from Joseph A. Foran High School.
The Districtwide Paraeducator of the Year is Brigitta Glynn from West Shore Middle School.
The Districtwide Parent of the Year for Milford is Melissa Andersen from Orange Avenue Elementary School.
All honorees will be celebrated at the district’s End of the Year Celebration on May 26, 2026, at the Parsons Auditorium, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s honorees truly represent the heart of Milford; their unwavering dedication and genuine compassion leave an indelible mark on every life they touch,” shared Superintendent of Schools Dr. Anna Cutaia.
The 2026 Teachers of the Year are Sarah Davis (Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School), Kelly Baker (East Shore Middle School), Dawn Black (Harborside Middle School), Joanna Nastasia (John F. Kennedy Elementary School), Matt McPartland (Jonathan Law High School), Austin Cesare (Joseph A. Foran High School), Mackenzie Pontonio (Live Oaks Elementary School), Cara Robertson (Mathewson Elementary School), Meghan Borjas (Meadowside Elementary School), Jeanne Pellegrino (Orange Avenue Elementary School), Hadley Whitaker (Orchard Hills Elementary School), Christine Hammond (Pumpkin Delight Elementary School), Maureen Raccio (West Shore Middle School).
The 2026 Paraeducators of the Year are Kaitlin Scott (Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School), Christina Parisi (East Shore Middle School), Christopher Shular (Harborside Middle School), Kathy Clark (John F. Kennedy Elementary School), Jennifer Knoth (Jonathan Law High School), Jody Bourque (Joseph A. Foran High School), Meghan Sumner (Live Oaks Elementary School), Emily Kowalski (Mathewson Elementary School), Saniyah Ferguson (Meadowside Elementary School), Amanda Keator (Orange Avenue Elementary School), Dawn Cooper (Orchard Hills Elementary School), Tara Greenspan (Pumpkin Delight Elementary School), Maryalice Fortuna (The Academy), Brigitta Glynn (West Shore Middle School).
