A Fancy Event

On Sunday, Milford Public Schools, in partnership with Mermaid Books, welcomed "Fancy Nancy" illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser to Foran High School for a morning filled with creativity, imagination, and fun.

Family Literacy Program

Milford Adult Education presents its Family Literacy Program beginning Tuesday, November 11. The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays at Meadowside Elementary School from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. This program is an excellent opportunity for parents and guardians to advance their educational goals while engaging in meaningful activities with their children. Essay Contest

The Milford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting essay contests, one for Grades 5-8 and one for Grades 9-12. Winners of the Chapter have a chance to move on to the State, Division and National contests. Essays are due November 21.

Thanks-for-Giving

MPS is partnering with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for their annual food drive. There are donation bins at each of the schools and in Parsons for the collection of canned/shelf-stable goods. Thank you for supporting our community!

Family Flu Clinic

The Milford Health Department will host a Family Flu Clinic on November 1, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Milford Public Library. The clinic is free for those aged 6 months to 18 years old. Walk-ins are welcome, but you can register here.

What Every Girl Needs to Know

The Milford Department of Human Services/Youth & Family Services will host a discussion designed for 4th & 5th grade girls with mothers/support person on the physical and emotional changes of puberty. It is on November 5, at Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus, at 6:30 p.m. Sign up here!

Pizza Fundraiser

Harborside's Middle School Drama Club will host a fundraiser on Thursday, November 6, through Silver Sands Pizza. All proceeds from the fundraiser go directly towards lighting, sound, costumes, and more. Order take-out, delivery, or dine-in and mention “Harborside Drama Club Fundraiser."

Pumpkin Smash

Bring your leftover pumpkins to the first annual Pumpkin Smash in Milford!  The Milford Recreation and Public Works Departments will host the event Saturday, November 8, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Eisenhower Park – Lower Parking Lot (780 North St, Milford, CT 06461). All smashed pumpkins will be collected by Milford Public Works and turned into compost – giving your pumpkins new life as healthy soil.

Holiday Wreath & Plant Sale

Order a festive wreath or beautiful plant for your home through the Jonathan Law Music Booster Club. Order here until November 22! All orders will be available for pick up on December 1 between 4:00-7:00 pm outside of the auditorium doors at Jonathan Law.
