Harvest to Table

The Academy's Living Earth students planted a vegetable garden, and the harvest was used by the culinary students in their food preparation. This hands-on collaboration provided students with an opportunity to connect sustainability, science, and real-world cooking skills—a delicious way to learn!

Fancy Nancy Book Talk

Essay Contest

The Milford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting essay contests, one for Grades 5-8 and one for Grades 9-12. Winners of the Chapter have a chance to move on to the State, Division and National contests. Essays are due November 21.

Tree Walk

Room 17 will host its 4th annual Arboretum Tree Walk on October 25. The walk begins outside the Parsons Government Center Auditorium. Adults will learn all about different tree varieties, and children will engage in math activities.

The Friends of the Milford Library will host a fundraiser in partnership with Fire Engine Pizza Co. on Monday, October 27. If you dine in, take out, or order online, a portion of the proceeds goes toward the Friends of the Milford Library.
