MILFORD, Conn. – Jonathan Law High School has been named a recipient of the prestigious Michaels Achievement Cup Award, presented annually by the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) to recognize schools that demonstrate outstanding achievement in sportsmanship.

The Michaels Achievement Cup is awarded to schools that go above and beyond in fostering a positive athletic environment, emphasizing not only success in competition but also character, leadership, and the overall student-athlete experience.

“This honor is a true reflection of the incredible student-athletes at Jonathan Law who work hard to foster a welcoming, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels valued and included,” said Thomas Drew, Jonathan Law Athletic Director. “We are so proud that our commitment to sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence has been recognized.”

The CIAC evaluates schools across various measures, including athletic participation, academic support, community service, and programs that promote leadership and character development.

Jonathan Law will be recognized at the annual CIAC Sportsmanship Summit, where the award highlights the school’s role in setting a standard for student-athletics across the state.

“This honor represents the collective effort of an entire school community,” said Jonathan Law Principal Bryan Darcy. “It takes collaboration between students, staff, and families to build an athletic culture that values character as highly as competition.”
