Board of Education Meeting

Fancy Nancy Book Talk
The illustrator of the Fancy Nancy Book series will be hosting a book talk and reading of the newest book in the series to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the books on October 26, 11 a.m. at the Foran High School Auditorium. Sign up for the free event here!
Essay Contest
The Milford Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting essay contests, one for Grades 5-8 and one for Grades 9-12. Winners of the Chapter have a chance to move on to the State, Division and National contests. Essays are due November 21.

Milford Lab Open House
Students of all ages are invited to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries' Open House for a hands-on learning experience. It is Saturday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 212 Rogers Avenue in Milford.
Students can tour a fisheries lab, meet Long Island Sound animals and learn about scientific research. Learn more here!
Mental Health Presentation
On September 24, the Milford Prevention Council will host a virtual presentation and Q&A on the topic of Mental Health and Suicidal Ideation among Individuals with Autism. Registration is not required. Click here for a link to join!
Community Listening Session
The Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity (CWCSEO) will host the Greater Milford Area Listening Session on October 3, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at the Milford Public Library. Register here!
This listening session is a structured discussion focused on gathering community member feedback, insights, and perspectives on the issues affecting your everyday lives and will help inform the state level policy initiatives. The CWCSEO is a non-partisan legislative branch agency that advises the Connecticut General Assembly on a variety of issues affecting the people of Connecticut.
