Milford Public Schools is pleased to announce that Justin Zywocinski will assume the role of part-time Director of Adult Education for the district, effective July 1. He will also serve as part-time Dean of Students at Foran High School.
Over the years, Mr. Zywocinski has held a variety of roles that have prepared him for this position, including adult education teacher and Summer School Program Director. He has held the role of Dean of Students at Foran High School since 2015, where he has been instrumental in maintaining a positive school climate. He has worked closely with families, teachers, and support staff to develop plans that promote positive student behavior. He has also collaborated with community leaders to organize educational and enrichment programs for students.
Prior to his current roles, Mr. Zywocinski was a dedicated mathematics teacher and served as the chair of the Foran Math Department. As the Milford Summer Program Director since 2014, Mr. Zywocinski has coordinated and overseen the district’s summer school programs, recruited qualified educators, and developed communication strategies to promote program engagement. He has served as a liaison between building principals and central office administration to ensure smooth operations.
Mr. Zywocinski earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems & Mathematics from Albert Magnus College in 2004, Master of Science from the University of New Haven in Education in 2006, and Master of Arts from The Graduate Institute in Holistic Thinking in 2009. He also earned his 092 Certification in Intermediate Administration and Supervision from Southern Connecticut State University in 2017.
