LINER NOTES FROM LAST WEEK

Before we get to the upcoming events, we want to give a ‘shout out’ about 2 events last week that were absolutely terrific.

On Wednesday, May 31st, students participated in the Annual James Wynne Middle School Track Meet – with bragging rights going, once again, to Harborside Middle School.  Congratulations, Harborside Penguins!

On Sunday, June 4th, our middle school students competed in the first-ever GREAT BOAT RACE held right in Milford Harbor.  The winner of this flagship event was the West Shore Wildcats watercraft, manned by teachers Glenn Maxwell and Ari Crooks.  As you will remember, each vessel was made entirely out of plastic water bottles. A phenomenal turnout was had – and we look forward to next year’s event.

We are pleased to let you know about a terrific presentation that will be held on Monday evening, June 12th – and all Middle School parents & guardians are invited!  With the summer months almost here, kids will be spending a lot more time on social media. That’s why we’ve partnered with internet safety expert Scott Driscoll who will share some great tips and advice with us to help make sure your child stays safe while online. Some of the subjects we’ll discuss include popular apps, programs, trends, cyberbullying, sexting, social networking and your ‘digital tattoo.’ We hope to see you there!  FLYER.
