Hello Bulldog Families,

 Thank you to all that attended our Spring Conferences!  Next week we look forward to a 4 day school week, and starting our Spring Break.  We hope you will join us for our virtual PTA Meeting next Tuesday April 4th!  A link will be sent next week for those that want to attend.  We have a very busy place once we come back after break.   • This week's Community Connection Center's Newsletter has information for UCONN's People Empowering People's (PEP) "Toasty Toes Sock Drive," ending March 31, 2023, as well as “MILFORD HELPING HANDS'' (MHH), a second group of PEP parents.  MHH invites you to join them during April for a "Spring Trash Pick Up!"  There are links for a Consumer Reports article about dangerous ingredients found in common foods, CT's SNAP program, End Hunger CT.  Under Fun Family Activities, Macaroni Kids, a free letter from the Easter bunny, and  Apple Barrel Farm Market's April 8th event, "Bunnies & Paws.”   Remember that the CCC website is updated with links to community resources.  Have a great week!

  • Join us for PTA Sponsored Magic Night! Tuesday April 18th. $10 per family, Doors open at 5:30 p.m., show starts at 6 p.m. Sign up on MemberHub here!

  • Mathewson Career Day is April 20th! Want to help out ? We would love to have you. 

We would like to invite Mathewson Elementary Parents and families to participate in our second annual Career Day, and our FIRST in person event! The big day is scheduled for April 20th, 2023. In addition to your participation within your child’s classroom, we will be inviting community members into our building to share with all Mathewson students about their careers. Once we have a better gauge on how many presenters we have, we will release more information regarding scheduling.

  • Mathewson School Spring Photos will be on April 19th. For this Spring photo opportunity our photographer offers Personality Portraits. Click here for more information!

  • We are looking for volunteers to help provide drinks and snacks for our Spring Dance on April 20th! Want to help sign up here.

  •  We will offer another session of the Giggling Pig Afterschool Club.

District Wide Kindergarten Registration is Now Available!

Greetings, MPS Families!

We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024  school year will take place during February and March. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 21, 2023.  You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services.  School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”

Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2023, in order to register for Kindergarten.  

Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.

If you need assistance with the registration portal,  please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.” 

We are excited for your children to come to our schools!  Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring.  In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!

  • Attendance: All absences must be reported using the PowerSchool attendance form. If your child is going to be late or picked up early, please send a note in to the teacher, or email the teacher, our greeter mkothari@milforded.org and our secretary mgonski@milforded.org . Only absences should be reported through PowerSchool.
