ESMS

What an exciting first week back! Our halls were filled with energy, laughter, and a few first-day jitters as we welcomed students into a new year of learning and growth. From morning greetings to classroom activities, it was clear that our students are ready to dive in and make this year a success.

Thank you for your support in helping us get off to such a smooth start. We are looking forward to building strong partnerships with you throughout the year as we work together to support our students!

Below, you’ll find important updates, upcoming events, and helpful resources to keep you connected as we settle into the year.

PTA: Please consider joining our PTA for the 25-26 school year. Our first meeting will be held September 8th at 6:30 in the media center. We have lots of exciting things planned for this year, like our first event, the Treat Corn Maze. Parents of eighth grade students, this is your chance to help make this milestone extra special for your kids. Please come and join the eighth grade committee during the first PTA meeting, Click this doc PTA Meeting Dates for meeting dates.

OPEN HOUSE: Please join us for our Open House on Thursday September 18  at 6:00 p.m. This is a wonderful evening and your partnership is critical to your child's success. More information will follow from your child’s homeroom teacher as this date approaches.

FOOD SERVICES: Milford Public Schools offers daily breakfast and lunch options for all students. Menus, pricing, and payment details can be found on the district’s Food Services page. Check it out here.

FOOD: Students are welcome to bring lunch from home or purchase meals from our food services department for breakfast and lunch. To help keep everyone safe and healthy, please pack only enough food for your own child, as sharing food can be a risk for students with allergies and is not permitted. We also cannot accept food deliveries from outside vendors during the school day.

WATER: Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Students are only allowed to bring water into school. If they forget, water is always available at our fountains and refill stations.

TECHNOLOGY: Students are expected to bring their district issued chromebook to school each day.  Please be sure they are charging it each night.  Per the Board of Education Policy,  the use of a cell phone/smartwatch or other personal communication device will be not permitted during school hours. These items are to be turned off or silenced and left in the student’s locker during the school day.

BRIDGES AT ESMS: We wanted to remind you of our collaboration with Bridges Healthcare, Inc to enhance the mental health support available to our students. Families are now able to get mental health support for their children through this school-based service. Please click here for additional information about this service along with contact information at ESMS.

LOST AND FOUND: Our Lost and Found already has some items! If your child is missing a water bottle or lunch bag, please remind them to stop by the Lost and Found by the main office and take a look. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month.
