Dear West Shore Middle School Families,
What a fantastic week it has been at West Shore Middle School! Our students truly shined bright in every corner of the building. Early in the week, 8th grade students showcased their hard work and scientific thinking on the NGSS Science Assessment, and the momentum only continued from there. Our incredible music department wowed audiences with outstanding chorus, band, and string performances, while Wednesday’s Weststock absolutely rocked the house with the amazing talents of our student musicians.
We are also incredibly proud to share that our very own Brigitta Glynn was named Para Professional of the Year for the entire Milford School District, and Ellen Connors received the PTA Lifetime Achievement Award. Congratulations to both on these well-deserved honors!
As our school year continues to fly by, excitement keeps rolling next week as we welcome our incoming fifth graders to West Shore and send our seventh graders off for their Mystic adventure!
WAVE Program
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, our after-school WAVE program is beginning to wrap up, with the final day scheduled for Friday, May 29th. We are so grateful to all of the staff and students who made this another successful year. We are also excited to share that we have secured a short week of WAVE Camp this summer featuring trips to Urban Air, The Sports Center, and Lake Quassy.
Incoming 5th Grade Visit
We are excited to welcome our incoming fifth grade students during their transition field trip to West Shore on Tuesday, May 19th. Students will participate in fun activities, meet staff members, connect with our counselors, and get a preview of life at West Shore Middle School.
