Dear West Shore Families,
We are officially on the home stretch, with fewer than 42 days left in the school year—it’s hard to believe! The beautiful weather this week certainly brought great energy into the building, and we are carrying that momentum forward as we head into an important stretch of the school year. With SBA testing on the horizon, we are encouraging all students to stay focused, give their best effort, and continue to make the most of every learning opportunity. As always, thank you for your continued support at home—it truly makes a difference.
Grade 8 Stepping Up Ceremony
We are excited to celebrate our eighth graders as they prepare for the next chapter! The Grade 8 Stepping Up Ceremony will take place on June 12th at 6:15 PM at Jonathan Law High School. No tickets are required, and all family members are welcome to attend this special event.
Purple Pantry Food Drive
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to our Purple Pantry food collection. This is a wonderful way to support members of our community in need. The collection will continue through April 30th, and we welcome any donations you are able to provide.
Teacher Appreciation Week – PTA Celebration
Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner, and our PTA has planned an exciting week with a fun 90’s theme to celebrate our staff. Middle School Art Show
We are proud to showcase our students’ creativity at the upcoming Middle School Art Show at the Parsons Complex in Milford. The show opens on May 5th and will be on display throughout the month. We hope you’ll take some time to stop by and enjoy the impressive artwork created by our talented students.
Drama Club – Frozen Jr.
Our Drama Club is excited to present Frozen Jr. on May 7th and May 8th at 7:00 PM. We look forward to a fantastic performance and hope to see many of you there supporting our students. Donations for concessions and raffle baskets are still being accepted—thank you to all who have already contributed.
Welcome, Officer Nesmith
We are pleased to welcome Officer Nesmith as our substitute School Resource Officer at West Shore. Many students may already recognize him from his work in our elementary schools. At the same time, we send our best wishes to Officer Kauffman as she prepares to welcome her baby. We appreciate both of their service to our community.
