Community Survey – Milford Prevention Council
The Milford Prevention Council is seeking input from families to better understand community needs and support programs for our youth. Mixtape Match
The 8th Grade Committee will host a Mixtape Match Family Event on Friday, February 20 in the West Shore Cafeteria. Doors open at 5:00 PM. The cost is $25 per person and includes dinner and a game card for each round. We hope to see many of our families there for a fun evening together.
Drama Club – Frozen Jr.
The West Shore Drama Club is still selling T-shirts to support their production of Disney’s Frozen Jr. Shirts are $25, and ordering information is available on flyers posted around the school. Orders are due by March 1. Thank you for supporting our student performers.
WAVE Program News
WAVE will host an Art Show on February 20 and 21 at the Firehouse Gallery on Naugatuck Avenue in Milford. All are welcome to attend and celebrate our students’ creativity. WAVE will also be hosting three free Family Engagement Nights at the Shelton Sports Center for participating families.
Milford Public Schools Music Event – Smooth Jazz for Scholars
Discounted tickets are available for the 23rd Annual Smooth Jazz for Scholars Concert, which benefits the Milford Schools Music Department. Concerts will be held May 1 and May 2 at the Parsons Complex. Please contact the school if you would like information about purchasing discounted tickets.
Student Recognition
Congratulations to Bridget Horne and Aubrey Bohmer, who placed among the top three winners in the Milford VFW Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest. We are proud of their accomplishment and representation of West Shore.
