Dear West Shore Families,
We are almost there! With just one full day of school on Monday and a half day on Tuesday, we are quickly approaching Winter Break. This time of year always brings a wonderful mix of excitement, reflection, and celebration. I hope the upcoming break provides your family with time to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the holiday season together. Thank you for being such a supportive and engaged part of our West Shore community.
High School Holiday Concert…BRAVO!
This week, our 7th and 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend the Jonathan Law High School Holiday Concert, and it was truly a treat. It was especially meaningful for our students to see familiar faces on stage and to catch a glimpse of the many exciting opportunities that await them in high school. The performances were inspiring and a lovely way to spread holiday cheer throughout our school community.
8th Grade Duck Fundraiser
We would also like to thank the 8th grade parents who were here this week running their duck fundraiser. It was a big hit with students and staff alike, and we appreciate the time and energy our families put into supporting our eighth graders.

Yearbook Update
Yearbook sales are still underway, and payments are currently being accepted online, with cash, or by check. Please note that baby photo submissions are now closed. After the New Year, families of eighth graders should be on the lookout for information about purchasing booster ad messages to celebrate their students.
Jingle Mingle – Tuesday, December 23
Our annual Jingle Mingle celebration will take place on Tuesday, December 23, during the school day. Students will rotate through fun, festive activities as part of this special event. It is always a highlight for our school community and a great way to celebrate together before Winter Break.
Pet Calendar Success
We are thrilled to share that our 2026 Pet Calendar fundraiser raised an impressive $730 for the Milford Animal Shelter! Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a positive impact for animals in need within our local community.
Student Council & Spirit Days
Our Student Council continues to bring great energy and ideas to West Shore, including planning for a school dance in the New Year. As we count down to Winter Break, we also have two remaining Spirit Days:
Monday, 12/22: Jolly Jammy Monday / Holiday Pajama Day
Tuesday, 12/23: Tacky and Toasty Tuesday / Ugly Sweater Day
We encourage students to participate and help us keep the school spirit high as we head into the break.

Upcoming Dates
12/23: Jingle Mingle & Early Release
1/14: PTA Meeting, 6:30 PM
As we head into this holiday season, I want to thank you for your continued partnership, flexibility, and support. It truly makes a difference for our students. On behalf of the entire West Shore staff, I wish you and your family a peaceful, joyful holiday season and a happy, healthy New Year. We look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready for 2026.
Warmly,
Carrie Keramis
Principal, West Shore Middle School
