Dear West Shore Families,
Can you believe Thanksgiving is just eight days away? It has been a busy and productive week here at West Shore. Students participated in picture re-takes and we recognized Veterans Day on Tuesday. Throughout the week, our staff focused on reviewing student work and planning next steps to support learning. As always, our students remain at the center of everything we do.
Report Cards
Report cards will be viewable in PowerSchool beginning Monday, November 17. Please take a moment to review your child’s progress, and reach out to teachers with any questions.
🥫 West Shore Food Drive
Our 21st Annual Food Drive collection wraps up today! We have collected peanut butter, jelly, cereal, gravy, canned vegetables, and much more to support local families.
A big shout-out to Mrs. Wells’ homeroom, which brought in an impressive 67 items this week! Thank you to all who were able to contribute!
Student Council News
Our newly elected Student Council Homeroom Representatives held their first meeting this week. They have begun planning a school-wide Spirit Week for the week before Winter Break. More details will be coming soon!
Counseling Corner
Our school counselors continue to bring exciting real-world learning experiences to students. This month, students will hear from a surgeon, a physical therapist, a nurse, and a veterinarian. These guest speakers help students explore future career paths and enrich our curriculum. Thank you to our counseling team for coordinating these opportunities!
Yearbook Information
Yearbooks are now on sale! Students may receive periodic reminder emails from the yearbook company, Legacy. Thank you for supporting our yearbook program!
$40 if ordered before January 1
$45 for orders placed after January 1
Ski Club
If you’d like to order WSMS Ski & Snowboard gear, please click the link provided. Orders will arrive before Winter Break.
Our trip dates are 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, and 2/5.
WAVE Program Spotlight
Last weekend, members of our WAVE team attended the Annual After School Conference in Hartford, where our WAVE program received special recognition from the State! We are proud of the incredible work happening in this program each day.
