What a wonderful week it’s been at West Shore! Our school was filled with positive energy as we wrapped up two great days of conferences. It was such a pleasure welcoming so many families into the building and having the opportunity to connect about your children’s progress. These conversations truly strengthen the partnership between home and school, and we’re so grateful for the time and care you give to supporting your child’s learning.
Think Pink: Wear Pink – Breast Cancer Fundraiser
On Monday, West Shore was glowing pink from head to toe as students and staff joined together to support the fight against breast cancer. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $400 for the Pink Pledge Campaign, which helps families in our community as they battle breast cancer. We were thrilled to have the mayor stop by to recognize our efforts and celebrate our students’ compassion and school spirit. A special thank-you goes to Officer Kaufman for bringing the “Pink Cruiser” and to Ms. Connors for organizing this wonderful event.
WAVE After-School Program Launches Monday! 🌊
We’re excited that our WAVE after-school program begins Monday, October 20! This program offers students opportunities to complete homework, explore new interests, and participate in fun enrichment activities.
High School Fair – Grade 8
Our annual High School Fair for eighth graders will take place on Monday, October 28, from 8:30–10:15 a.m. This is an important opportunity for students to learn more about the programs and pathways available to them as they begin to think about their next steps.
Marking Period Reminder
The first marking period ends on October 31. Now is a great time to check in on your child’s progress in PowerSchool and reach out to teachers with any questions or concerns.
