Dear West Shore Families,
The first days of school went wonderfully, and it has been such a joy to see our students back in the building. The energy, smiles, and excitement to reconnect with friends and staff set a positive tone for the year ahead. Students have quickly fallen into their new routines, and we are already off to a strong start.
Looking ahead, our Open House will be held on Thursday, September 18th. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, learn more about classroom expectations, and see the wonderful work your child will be engaging in this year. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing all that’s happening at West Shore.
As we head into the long holiday weekend, I hope you and your families enjoy some time to rest, recharge, and be together. Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our school community.

West Shore PTA Updates:
Thank you to all of the families who helped us welcome staff back by ordering from the Amazon wish list or dropping off snacks. We will keep you posted about more opportunities throughout the year to show the staff how much we appreciate them.
PTA membership - Please consider becoming a member of the WSMS PTA. Memberships can be purchased at https://tinyurl.com/bdfbdtvw. If you have already paid for your membership, thank you. We appreciate your support.
Spirit Wear: It is available for purchase. This will be the only opportunity to order items this year. Orders are due Sunday, September 7th. Orders will be delivered to students at school by the end of September. Orders can be placed here.
Mums Fundraiser: orders are due Friday, September 12th. Order pickup will be on Friday, September 19th, from 3:30 - 6:00 at WSMS. Orders can be placed here on our store website.
PTA Meeting: The first PTA meeting of the year is on September 10th at 6:30 in the Media Center, followed at 7:30ish with an 8th-grade committee meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
