West Shore Middle School Weekly Newsletter
Dear West Shore Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well as we dive into the latest updates and events from our vibrant school community.
On Tuesday night, the West Shore Chorus enchanted the audience with a stellar performance. Mrs. Schepanski and our gifted singers showcased their talent, leaving us all in awe. Bravo to each participant for their hard work and dedication!
Wednesday night, the West Shore gym was transformed into a spectacular concert hall as our talented students took center stage for an unforgettable evening of music. Organized into their own bands, they delivered an incredible lineup of songs that captivated a packed house. A heartfelt thank you goes to Mr. Kalafus for his dedication and hard work in bringing this amazing event to life!
Last week, we successfully wrapped up both the Smarter Balanced Assessment and the NGSS testing on Thursday. We appreciate the effort and focus our students demonstrated during this important period.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for an underwater adventure! The West Shore Drama Club will be presenting The Little Mermaid Jr. on May 29th and 30th in the West Shore Middle School gym. The show kicks off at 7:00 p.m., and snacks and raffle tickets will be available for purchase. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. For advance purchase, please send cash or a check (made out to West Shore Middle School) in an envelope labeled with your child’s name, homeroom, the number of tickets, and payment details. Tickets will be sent home with students, and a limited number will also be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss this wonderful production!
Looking forward, next week promises excitement for our 8th graders with the eagerly anticipated dinner dance and Holiday Hill activities on the horizon. We hope all families enjoy a restful holiday weekend.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Together, we make West Shore Middle School a place where every student can shine.
Warm regards,
Carrie Keramis
