Good Afternoon Meadowside Families,

Open House: Thank you to all our families who joined us for Open House on Tuesday evening! Your presence, engagement, and support mean so much to us. We truly value the partnership between home and school, and we’re excited to work together throughout the year to help your child thrive. As we reflect on the evening, we’d love to hear your feedback to help us improve future events. If you have a moment, please consider taking a moment to let us know how the evening went by clicking here.

If you missed our Open House, you can check out our welcome video here.  Interested in learning more about our MPS Vision of the Learner and the Search Relationship Framework, check them out as well as other resources on the MPS Teaching and Learning Community Hub.

Another great opportunity for our parents to visit in our classrooms is during Parent Teacher conferences which are scheduled later this fall.

Wednesday, October 15 1:45 - 3:45

Thursday, October 16 5:30-8:00 p.m.

Friday, October 17 1:45-3:45 p.m.

Fall conference sign up  information will be  live on our school website in early October.  Please note that on all three conference days we will have a modified early dismissal time of 1:15 to accommodate the conference schedule.

Footwear Reminder: Now that we’re a couple of weeks into the school year, we’ve loved seeing students playing and being active at recess and in PE. To help them stay safe and fully enjoy these activities, we want to remind families that supportive footwear—such as sneakers—is best for school each day. Shoes with sturdy soles and closed toes allow children to run, climb, and participate without the risk of slips or injuries.

HEARTfelt congratulations to our Art Teacher, Mrs. Clare Dancho, and her family on the birth of their daughter last week!  Mom and baby are both doing well and we couldn’t be happier for them.  Mr. Edoaurd De Pacevaux will be covering during her maternity leave.

This Monday, we’re celebrating International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage, and self-expression — inspired by the beloved book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.  The story encourages us all to “make our mark” and see where it takes us — reminding students (and grown-ups!) that a simple dot can spark something amazing when we believe in ourselves and our ideas.  Join the fun by wearing dots of any size, shape, or color!  Polka dots, spotted socks, dotted headbands — get creative and show off your unique style as we celebrate the power of imagination and making a difference through even the smallest mark.
