Thank you to PTA for hosting our BMX Assembly this morning!  We absolutely loved it -- from the motivational messages to the bike dancing, surfing and Kindergarten teacher jumping!  Make sure to ask your children what their favorite part was!

Please read on for some upcoming events we want you to know about! And even some we want you to sign up for!

Wednesday May 21: Spring Bus evacuation Drill at Bus Drop Off at Meadowside School: Conducting emergency drills  (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. Weather Permitting, Meadowside Elementary School  will be conducting our Spring School Bus Evacuation Monday Morning at Drop Off. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district, and in collaboration with our student transportation provider.  Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children.  We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.

Our Spring Field Day is scheduled for Wednesday May 28th with a rain date of Thursday, May 29th.  We will be having lots of Outdoor Fun including Team Games, a Picnic Lunch and an Inflatable Obstacle Course.  This year PTA is also providing Italian Ice from Italian Ices of Connecticut All of their Italian Ice is gluten free, dairy-free, nut-free and free of high-fructose corn syrup.  If you DO NOT want your child/ren to have Italian Ice, please email your child’s teacher on or before May 26th with the email subject header Italian Ice.

We need parent Volunteers to help make Field Day a success.  If you are interested in being a volunteer please Sign UP HERE by Friday, May 23th.  Please note as this is a school day event -- only those parents who have signed up to volunteer are allowed on our fields. Thank you.
