Thank you to Mrs. Magazine, our PTA and all our parents and students who worked together to make for an amazing Teacher Appreciation week!
From the moment Monday rolled around, we were un-bee-lievably touched by your kindness. What a sweet surprise to be treated to delicious pizza from Silver Sands Pizza Truck—and all while seeing students and staff wearing shirts with kind messages that warmed our hearts!
Tuesday had us buzzing with gratitude—the thoughtful cards from students were the nectar to our souls, and the special snacks and gifts had us smiling all day long.
By Wednesday, your appreciation was truly buzz-worthy! Your encouragement to spread kindness throughout the hive was so meaningful, and the tea and treats from Icing on the Cake were the bee’s knees.
Thursday brought a hive of color and joy as students showed up wearing our favorite shades—and the dessert buffet? Sweet as can bee!
And on Friday, we wrapped up the week enjoying a lovely breakfast from Lasses and feeling like part of the best hive around!
Your appreciation, time, and creativity didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for bee-ing so caring and thoughtful-- We are so lucky to be part of a community that lifts us up and keeps us buzzing with joy all year long.
With all our gratitude and a whole lot of buzz,
The Meadowside Staff 🐝💛

They brought along SOAR the drone for an exciting live presentation - and it was all captured on Channel 12 News! And if you are interested ... help us win a free duck race ticket for every student at Meadowside
I Got Ducked!
The Milford United Way Annual Duck Race is one of the most highly attended events of the year. In case you’re not familiar, the Annual Duck Race involves a potential of 10,000 rubber ducks that will be dropped over the Fowler Memorial Bridge on June 7th at 12 noon. As ducks make their way to the finish line, our water team volunteers scoop them out, in order, and record the prize connected to the number on the bottom of each duck. Over the course of the weeks leading up to the Duck Race, we have a group of volunteers who are working to sell Duck Tickets, Sponsorships, and many other parts of this major fundraising program.
What is the “I Got Ducked” Promotion?
“I Got Ducked” Lawn Sign Price: $50
Purchaser pays for one Lawn Sign and receives one complimentary $5 Duck Race Ticket for a chance to win one of the more than 50 prizes offered at the race.
Purchaser provides us with the address of the residence or business to be ‘ducked.’ We take care of placing the sign at the address (within Milford) upon purchase -- and remove it at the end of the contest period.
School Competition
The school that sells the most “I Got Ducked” signs wins the Grand Prize: 1 FREE Duck Race Ticket for EACH student in the whole school. Again, with more than 50 prizes up for grabs, it’s possible you might have a ‘Lucky Duck’ in your student body! Be sure to include “Meadowside School” when purchasing.
