Teacher of the Year Lauren Aliberti: Mrs. Aliberti is a truly exceptional educator whose commitment to her students, reflective teaching practice, and contributions to school culture make her deserving of the Teacher of the Year honor. Mrs. Aliberti’s classroom is a nurturing, inclusive space, where students lean into their learning. Mrs. Aliberti’s impact extends far beyond the classroom—she fosters strong relationships with families, connects learning to real-world experiences, and plays a vital role in creating a collaborative, positive school environment. Passionate, innovative, and dedicated, Lauren is a shining example of educational excellence.
ParaEducator of the Year Liz Rodriguez: We are proud to recognize Ms. Elizabeth Rodriguez as Meadowside’s ParaEducator of the Year! Since joining us last year, Ms. Rodriguez has become an indispensable member of our school community, known for her compassion, flexibility, and unwavering commitment to student success. Ms. Rodriguez builds meaningful relationships with students grounded in kindness and respect, and she consistently goes above and beyond to foster strong connections between home and school. Ms. Rodriguez’s warmth, professionalism, and dedication make her a true asset to our team and a powerful advocate for all students.
Parent of the Year Kathleen Farmer: We are thrilled to recognize Mrs. Farmer as our Parent of the Year! A dedicated PTA member, volunteer, and proud parent, Mrs. Farmer has made an extraordinary impact on our school community. She has been an active member of our PTA serving as PTA treasurer this year and last and has played a key role in organizing STEM Night—collaborating with staff, engaging community partners, and adding creative touches like interactive bingo boards and thoughtful prizes. Whether she's organizing events or lending a hand wherever needed, Mrs. Farmer’s passion and leadership shine through in all she does. Thank you Mrs. Farmer for everything you do for Meadowside students and staff.
Thank you to all our students and staff and community members for their participation in our Career Day. Our students really enjoyed the different guests from our school community, and it was such fun to see staff and students dressed up as careers they’re excited about. Congratulations to our fifth graders on graduating from the DARE program today! We’re so proud of their hard work, thoughtful participation, and commitment to making safe and responsible choices. A special thank you to the Milford Police Department for their continued partnership and support in delivering this important program as well as to our DARE Officer Salati who we appreciate working with every year! And a big congratulations to our DARE poster contest winners—well done!

Kite Festival: On May 10th Join Milford PTA council and the Enrichment Program for Milford Living Magazine’s 15th Annual Kite Festival from 12-3pm at Walnut Beach. If you are interested in making your own kite, our district Enrichment Program is hosting a Kite Festival Build Night at Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School on May 9th from 6-8. Dash for Danni: Sign up for Dash for Danni, a 5K to raise money for cancer research. The event is on June 7 and kicks off at Foran High School.
