Hello Bulldog Families,
Thank you to everyone that attended our PTA Bingo Night last Friday. It was so great to see everyone together! We had some intense but PAWsitive rounds of Bingo for sure. Be sure to stay tuned for our next PTA Family event which is an Ice Skating night later in February. Details to follow! Our Kindergartners enjoyed their new learning spaces this week. We can’t wait to continue to grow and learn with all our new furniture. Stay warm this weekend and check out other information for the weeks ahead listed below.

Each week information about Milford's providers & their programs are listed . You will also find ideas for family friendly activities & places to visit. Get Excited PTA is Sponsoring the Giggling Pig Art Enrichment Program. Beginning Mondays, March 6-April 3 from 3:30-4:30p at Mathewson. The cost will be $110, register online HERE. Space is limited. Thanks PTA for collaborating with this Milford business for our students.
Throughout the year, there are many celebrations focused on acknowledging the history and contributions of different groups. Black History Month began on February 1. Milford Public Schools continues our commitment to celebrating diversity and the unique gifts and experiences of our Milford Public Schools students, families and staff that make our community so special. Our ongoing goal is to provide opportunities for all learners to see themselves within our curriculum. Valentine's Day Reminder: Valentine’s Day is ahead! This is a fun filled day at the elementary level for sure. Your child’s classroom teacher will send out more information as it pertains to their class but we wanted to take this time to remind you we do not hand out goodie bags or food items of any kind. While these kind gestures are appreciated we ask that you please do not send in items for staff to hand out to other children. If you wish to help in some way you are always welcome to reach out to your child’s teacher to see what might be best.
PTA Family Skate Night is Coming! Family Skate Night is Friday, February 24th from 6:15-7:45 PM at Milford Ice Arena. The cost is $5 per person (skate rental included). Register on MemberHub HERE.
Attendance: All absences must be reported using the PowerSchool attendance form. If your child is going to be late or picked up early, please send a note in to the teacher, or email the teacher, our greeter mkothari@milforded.org and our secretary mgonski@milforded.org . Only absences should be reported through PowerSchool.

Dave and Busters Grade 5 Fundraiser--Jan 12-Feb. 10th! Have some fun and raise some funds for our 5th Graders! Check out the details here. Purchasing goes live on January 12th at 12 pm on the Mathewson Member Hub Store.
Read Across Mathewson Day is Coming! Every year, the month of March is National Reading Month. The start of this is initiated with ‘Read Across America Day’ on March 2. Many schools choose to engage in activities throughout the week which promote books as windows offering views of the world or mirrors where we allow children to see themselves within their text. Throughout the school year, Milford Public Schools work to help students develop a love of reading and an appreciation for where the pages of a book can take you. We look forward to having guest readers help us celebrate on March 2nd at Mathewson!
