Hello Bulldog Families,
It was a busy week for sure! Unfortunately if you are a snow lover it didn't pan out the way you wanted, but that is okay… keep those snow day cancellations away for early dismissal days in June 🙂. We will be working on a date with the district to reschedule the Informance for our 4th graders and families. Stay tuned! Our Kindergarten classrooms underwent a new transformation Thursday and Friday of this week. Since the platform our district uses doesn’t let photos show up in the PAWprint online, be sure to check out Twitter or our Mathewson website photo feed to see our new classroom designs. Everything is new… so PAWmazing! We hope to see you at PTA Sponsored Bingo Night for a fun family evening ahead. Stay Well and Be PAWsitive!

Throughout the year, there are many celebrations focused on acknowledging the history and contributions of different groups. Black History Month begins on February 1. Milford Public Schools continues our commitment to celebrating diversity and the unique gifts and experiences of our Milford Public Schools students, families and staff that make our community so special. Our ongoing goal is to provide opportunities for all learners to see themselves within our curriculum. This week's Community Connection Center's Newsletter (CCC News) has links for a FAVORS WORKSHOP, The Recreations Department's TOP SHOT program and Ct. Mobile Food Pantry. Each week information about Milford's providers & their programs are listed . You will also find ideas for family friendly activities & places to visit. And don't forget that the CCC website is also updated with links to community resources. Have a great week!
Valentines Day Reminder: Valentine’s Day is ahead! This is a fun filled day at the elementary level for sure. Your child’s classroom teacher will send out more information as it pertains to their class but we wanted to take this time to remind you we do not hand out goodie bags or food items of any kind. While these kind gestures are appreciated we ask that you please do not send in items for staff to hand out to other children. If you wish to help in some way you are always welcome to reach out to your child’s teacher to see what might be best.
Attendance: All absences must be reported using the PowerSchool attendance form. If your child is going to be late or picked up early, please send a note in to the teacher, or email the teacher, our greeter mkothari@milforded.org and our secretary mgonski@milforded.org . Only absences should be reported through PowerSchool.

Don’t miss out! For the Month of January Nate’s Plates has coordinated with our PTA to help provide some dinner choices and funds for our 5th grade committee for those that wish to participate. Be sure to mention “Mathewson” at check out and enjoy a night of not having to plan for what to make!
Dave and Busters Grade 5 Fundraiser--Jan 12-Feb. 10th! Have some fun and raise some funds for our 5th Graders! Check out the details here. Purchasing goes live on January 12th at 12 pm on the Mathewson Member Hub Store.
