Hello Bulldog Families,
What a week! Thank you to all of the families that came out to support our PTA Sponsored Halloween Hoot last Friday and those that attended our Mathewson Halloween Parade on Monday! So much fun to be able to celebrate together again… and I’m not sure who enjoys it more, the kids or adults :)
We want to give a shout out also to Silver Horseshoe Stables which is located on West River Street for their support in our festivities by bringing a horse to campus for the Halloween Parade! It was a highlight for sure with our students. So in return for their kindness here is a free plug for a PAWsome place to take riding lessons if your little one/ or you is interested!
In the weeks ahead:
We will be celebrating our Veterans by having guest speakers and readers in our school. We will be celebrating our Veterans on Wednesday November 9th (as we know many relatives that do come in visit multiple schools). Please use the links below to either sign up a veteran to visit and/or add to our Virtual Veteran’s Day Wall of Honor which will be shared across our school community!

2022 Mathewson Veterans Day Visits
Grade 4 and 5 Families: Students have information for the Fire Prevention Poster Contest. They can make a poster to help support fire prevention and also win prizes. All finished posters must be turned back into the classroom teacher by 11/30/22.
Sneakers Please! To make sure your child is ready for PE and recess daily it is a good idea to wear sneakers. This helps ensure their safety best as they play.
