Hello Bulldog Families,
We hope to see many of you at conferences next week! If you have not yet signed up for a conference but wish to have one please reach out to your child’s teacher. We had some gorgeous weather days this week which gave us all spring fever, but don’t put those coats away just yet. Also, sneakers are the best option for daily wear and safety both in PE and when we go out to recess. Great job to our 5th Graders that participated in Music In Our Schools on Thursday night! Mathewson Career Day is April 20th! Want to help out ? We would love to have you.
We would like to invite Mathewson Elementary Parents and families to participate in our second annual Career Day, and our FIRST in person event! The big day is scheduled for April 20th, 2023. In addition to your participation within your child’s classroom, we will be inviting community members into our building to share with all Mathewson students about their careers. Once we have a better gauge on how many presenters we have, we will release more information regarding scheduling.

Thank you all for your support with our Penny Wars this year! Congrats to Ms. Murphy’s class for raising the most money! They earned a gift card to get indoor games/items for their class! Also we were able to make a donation to Food2Kids and support our grade 5 class. PAWmazing Bulldogs!

This week's Community Connection Center's Newsletter (CCC News) has links for Milford Public Library's "Early Intervention For Autism: Sign & Supports", and Sen. Maroney's presentation of the CT State budget. There are links to childcare for April's spring break and Ct Audubon Society's summer program too. Each week information about Milford's providers & their programs are listed. And don't forget that the CCC website is also updated with links to community resources.

District Wide Kindergarten Registration is Now Available!
Greetings, MPS Families!
We are pleased to announce that Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will take place during February and March. If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, registration information will be posted to the district website www.milforded.org on February 21, 2023. You must register your child for Kindergarten at the school determined by your street address, unless placed by Pupil Personnel Services. School/Street Assignments are available on the district website under “District Information.”
Students must be at least age five (5) on or before December 31, 2023, in order to register for Kindergarten.
Current MPS preschool or Ready To Learn students do not need to complete an online registration packet.
If you need assistance with the registration portal, please contact the main office for your district assigned school. School contact information can be found on the district website under “ Schools.”
We are excited for your children to come to our schools! Fully registered families, please be on the lookout for more information from your school’s Principal about an in person kindergarten event in the spring. In the meantime, click here for a sneak peek of what to expect in Kindergarten!

Attendance: All absences must be reported using the PowerSchool attendance form. If your child is going to be late or picked up early, please send a note in to the teacher, or email the teacher, our greeter mkothari@milforded.org and our secretary mgonski@milforded.org . Only absences should be reported through PowerSchool.
