SOARing through the Week at JFK

June 11, 2025

Hello Hawk Families!

As we wrap up another Hawk-some  school year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our families for your continued support and partnership. Together, we’ve built a strong, caring community where our students can learn, grow, and thrive.

A special thank you goes out to our amazing PTO for the tremendous time, energy, and generosity they poured into making this year full of memorable events and meaningful experiences for our students. We are so grateful for all you do and for your continued support of our school!

To our 5th grade students, congratulations! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and we wish you nothing but the best as you head off to middle school. To our 5th grade families, thank you for the many ways you have contributed to our school community over the years. As this elementary chapter closes, please know how much you have meant to us.

Be sure to check out the photos linked below for a look at some of the fun from our final days together, including the always exciting 5th grade vs. staff kickball game and a cool treat from the Kona Ice Truck (Thank you again, PTO!)

Finally, we send our warmest wishes to Mrs. Giambra and Mrs. Kristan as they begin their well-earned retirement. You will always be part of the JFK family. Once a Hawk, always a Hawk!

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and restful summer. Keep SOARing and keep reading JFK!  Remember to take care of yourself, take care of our community and most of all BE KIND!

In partnership,

We’re also spotlighting local favorites like the Yankee Doodle Fair (June 12–15 in Westport), Peanut Butter Jam concerts (starting June 18 in Fairfield), and a one-of-a-kind juggling show with Bryson Lang on July 9 in Milford.

Plus, you’ll find exciting field days at Old Sturbridge Village, hands-on history at the Henry Whitfield House, and plenty more for families to explore.
