We hope all our students and families have a safe, healthy, and fun summer. We wish our rising ninth graders all the best in their next chapter of learning. As for our rising grade seventh and eighth students, we will see you next year. |
HMS Drama Club |
We want to let everyone know that HMS Drama Club will indeed continue next year. We have been busy planning our production calendar as we prepare to take on a fun and exciting new project...SCHOOL OF ROCK: Young Actors Edition! If you don’t know the show, check out the synopsis below: “Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock: Young Actors Edition is a dynamic, one-hour version of the musical based on the hit movie, designed especially for young performers. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out? Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock: Young Actors Edition is a loving testimony to the transformative power of music.” As before we will rehearse once a week from Fall to Spring. Crew will start in the New Year. The current plan is to rehearse on Tuesdays. We will have a mandatory info session as soon as the school year begins (see the below flier.) Please plan to be there so we can answer any questions you may have and if you are interested in volunteering to help with our production next year, please reach out! |
