Good evening, it was a pleasure to welcome you into our school last week for Open House. We hope you found the evening helpful in getting to know our teachers, learning more about your child’s experience at ESMS, and understanding the many ways we work together to support student success. Your partnership is essential, and we are grateful for the time you took to join us.  Please take a moment to review upcoming events and information happening here at ESMS.

Looking ahead to next week, please note the following schedule changes:

  • Tuesday, September 23 – School will be closed in observance of Rosh Hashanah.

  • Wednesday, September 24 – Students will be dismissed early for staff professional development.

PICTURE DAY: Picture Day is this Wednesday, September 24! You can place your order on mylifetouch.com using your Picture Day ID: EVTM7J7H4. Order before midnight on Picture Day to get FREE shipping! Your child can also bring their completed flyer with cash or check on Picture Day. Orders after Picture Day must be placed online only on mylifetouch.com.

CLUB SIGN UPS: We are very excited as we kick off our after school clubs and activities at ESMS! Clubs run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:50 pm - 4:00 pm beginning on Monday, October 13, 2025, and ending on Thursday, May 7, 2026.  Please review the list of activities with your child and indicate your first and second choice. Forms must be submitted by Monday, September 29, 2025.  Every effort will be made to honor your requests. Students who are assigned to a bus for a regular day of school, may utilize the late bus available to them. Transportation for non-bus students must be arranged PRIOR to the day of the activity. Pick up is by 4:00 pm (the latest).  Please be sure to have an emergency plan arranged for your child in the event that your schedule/routine changes. Finalized club lists will be posted outside of the cafeteria  Monday, October 6, 2025.

TAKE A VETERAN TO SCHOOL DAY: In honor of Veterans Day, East Shore Middle School students and staff are proud to invite our family and friends who are veterans to join us for a special event. Our honored guests will attend a ceremony and then meet with small groups of students to share their experiences of patriotic and military service. This is a meaningful opportunity for our students to learn directly from those who have served. If you know someone who is interested they can complete this form.


MPS Vision 2030: Milford Public Schools invites families to attend a Vision 2030 meeting to help shape our 5-year goals. These sessions are a chance to share your ideas and feedback on programming. Discussion topics include: what makes you proud to be part of MPS, the biggest challenges we face, and your top 3 priorities for the next five years. BUS ZONE APP: The Bus Zone App is now available for parents to download and use. Please click on this link for instructions - Bus Zone Parent Information and Instructions.

LOST AND FOUND: Our Lost and Found has many items! If your child is missing a sweatshirt, water bottle or lunch bag, please remind them to stop by the Lost and Found by the main office and take a look. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month.

MPC: Milford Prevention Council has released two new Parent Discussion Guides to help begin conversations about alcohol and vaping. You can find them under “Parent Resources” at www.MilfordPrevention.org

PTA: Our first fundraiser of the year will be kicking off on September 25th, so be on the lookout for the information that will be coming home with your child. October 9th is our first family night out at Treat Farm in Orange from 4:00-7:00. Be sure to follow us on Facebook at East Shore PTA and on Instagram at esmspta for all of our latest updates. FORAN HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND NIGHT: The Foran High School Marching Band invites all middle school band students to join them for Middle School Band Night on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Foran home football game. Students will meet Foran Band members and staff, take part in rehearsal, enjoy dinner together, receive a special MS Band Night T-shirt, perform the Star-Spangled Banner on the field before the game, play in the stands to cheer on the football team, and enjoy a front-row seat for the Foran Marching Band halftime show. Middle school band students are admitted free, while parents and guests must pay regular admission. More information can be found here.
