Good Evening! Thank you to all the families who joined us for the PTA meeting last Monday! We had a great turnout! We’re looking forward to a great week ahead and seeing many of you Thursday evening! Please take a moment to review upcoming events and information.
OPEN HOUSE: Please join us for our Open House this Thursday September 18 at 6:00 p.m. This is a wonderful evening and your partnership is critical to your child's success. We hope to see you then!
TAKE A VETERAN TO SCHOOL DAY: In honor of Veterans Day, East Shore Middle School students and staff are proud to invite our family and friends who are veterans to join us for a special event. Our honored guests will attend a ceremony and then meet with small groups of students to share their experiences of patriotic and military service. This is a meaningful opportunity for our students to learn directly from those who have served. If you know someone who is interested they can complete this form.
A NOTE FROM OFFICER LOSCHIAVO: Adams Plaza is a popular spot for our students to relax and spend time with friends after school. We want them to enjoy themselves while continuing to reflect our SHORE values. Recently, concerns have been raised about student behavior at the Plaza, so we’ve reminded each grade level about the importance of representing ESMS positively in the community. Our hope is that all students can enjoy their time together while showing respect for the businesses and patrons around them.
BUS ZONE APP: The Bus Zone App is now available for parents to download and use. Please click on this link for instructions - Bus Zone Parent Information and Instructions.

LOST AND FOUND: Our Lost and Found has many items! If your child is missing a sweatshirt, water bottle or lunch bag, please remind them to stop by the Lost and Found by the main office and take a look. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month.
PTA: We had a very successful first meeting. Thank you to everyone who joined us! If you haven’t signed up for the PTA yet and would like to do so, here is the link or look for us at Open House. We have our first family night event coming up- October 9th from 4:00-7:00. Family Fall Fest/Corn Maze at Treat Farm in Orange.
FORAN HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND NIGHT: The Foran High School Marching Band invites all middle school band students to join them for Middle School Band Night on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Foran home football game. Students will meet Foran Band members and staff, take part in rehearsal, enjoy dinner together, receive a special MS Band Night T-shirt, perform the Star-Spangled Banner on the field before the game, play in the stands to cheer on the football team, and enjoy a front-row seat for the Foran Marching Band halftime show. Middle school band students are admitted free, while parents and guests must pay regular admission. More information can be found here.
UPCOMING DRILL: Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. ESMS plans to conduct a crisis drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. If you have any feedback please reach out to lswanson@milforded.org or jgenova@milforded.org. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.
BRIDGES AT ESMS: We wanted to remind you of our collaboration with Bridges Healthcare, Inc to enhance the mental health support available to our students. Families are now able to get mental health support for their children through this school-based service. Please click here for additional information about this service along with contact information at ESMS.
