As always, thank you for your continued support in making experiences like these possible.Take a moment to check out some of the highlights below and be sure to read through the important updates and reminders as we head into the final full week of the school year.
Holiday Hill: Our 8th graders enjoyed a fun-filled day at Holiday Hill, making the most of every moment together. From games and swimming to shared meals and laughter, it was a day full of smiles and unforgettable memories. One more special chapter in their East Shore journey.
Adventure Park: Our 6th graders tackled the ropes and trails at Adventure Park, showing courage, teamwork, and a willingness to try new things. Whether they were up in the trees or cheering on a friend from the ground. Their enthusiasm and energy were contagious!

Let’s make it a week to remember!
Avery’s Little Garden: This outdoor classroom and garden is being built in loving memory of Avery Lafferty and will serve as a beautiful, lasting space for current and future Calf Pen Meadow students to learn, grow, and connect with nature. Families have the special opportunity to be a permanent part of this effort by purchasing a personalized brick. The garden is set to be built over the summer, with a dedication and grand opening planned for Fall 2025. Let’s come together to make this dream a reality! More here.
Summer Practices for Tennis at Foran High School: Interested in Playing Tennis at Foran High School? The Foran High School Boys and Girls Tennis teams will be holding summer practices for prospective team members! Practices will take place twice a week in the mornings, starting the week of July 7 and running through August 8. Incoming freshmen who are interested in joining the Foran Boys or Girls Tennis teams are strongly encouraged to attend. If you're interested in participating, please reach out to: Coach Alan Stern (Boys Tennis) – astern@milforded.org or Coach Scott Willey (Girls Tennis) – swilley@milforded.org
Fire Drill: Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. ESMS plans to conduct a fire drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. If you have any feedback please reach out to lswanson@milforded.org or jgenova@milforded.org. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.
