Happy Friday, East Shore Middle School!
As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We hope you take the time to relax, recharge, and reflect.
It’s been a busy, and fun week here at East Shore — full of energy and excitement! Check out some of the highlights below to see all the great things happening in our school community!
Respect Stars: Congratulations to all of our Respect Stars! These outstanding students have been recognized by their homeroom teachers as role models who truly embody all of our SHORE values. We’re so proud of the way they lead by example and contribute positively to our East Shore community. We can't wait to cheer them on as they represent East Shore in the Memorial Day Parade this weekend!
Game Show Assembly: We had a blast on Wednesday for our HollyRock Game Show assemblies! The gym was buzzing with energy as students took on trivia, spelling, and physical challenges. A huge thank you to our PTA for organizing the event.
8th Grade Dinner Dance: A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for their support in making the 8th Grade Dinner Dance a night to remember! Our 8th graders had a fantastic time celebrating together — dancing, laughing, and making memories as they head into their final weeks at East Shore
Fire Drill: Conducting emergency drills (fire, crisis, lockdown, etc.) is one of the most important ways we enhance our preparedness for students and staff during an emergency. Drills allow us to practice what we need to do when an emergency arises in our school. ESMS plans to conduct a fire drill next week. This will only be a drill and will be conducted in accordance with the School Incident Management Protocols established by the district and in collaboration with our local first responders. Please discuss the importance of our emergency drills with your children. If you have any feedback please reach out to lswanson@milforded.org or jgenova@milforded.org. We thank you for your cooperation and partnership in making our schools a safer place for learning.
