Panther Prowl

The Pumpkin Delight PTA is excited to prepare for the second annual Panther Prowl, Monday, October 8, 2018.  The Panther Prowl is a school-wide activity, involving students and staff.  Our students will run and/or walk with their class around our modified track for 20 minutes to fun music! This event gives students and opportunity to encourage their classmates and show their school spirit while encouraging to be active.  In addition, every student will receive a free participant t-shirt that will be given to them the day of the prowl. All students will be receiving prizes and be entered to win raffles based on their fundraising achievements.

 Our goal is to raise $10,000 and have this be the only fundraiser that we have all year.  There are two ways that Pumpkin Delight families can participate.  First, and perhaps most importantly, families can pledge to support their children for running in the Panther Prowl.  Pledges can be made per lap or simply a flat rate.  Our hope is to have each family raise $50.00.  For the first time this year, we will be offering an online donation page through the PTA page on the Pumpkin Delight website. The webpage can be found by visiting www.milforded.org. Please share with all family friends through email and social media to support your child’s goal towards a successful event. We will also be accepting payments by cash and check for those to wish to not use the online system.

Additionally, businesses can pledge to be a sponsor in order to help defray the costs of running in the Panther Prowl.   For example, we provide t-shirts to all students and staff and we use a number chart on the shirt to track the number of laps our students run.  Every student will receive a Pumpkin Delight School Panther Prowl T-shirt!  We have attached a form explaining the various levels of sponsorships.  Business Sponsorship, donations and logos are due no later than Friday, September 21, 2018.

 The Pumpkin Delight PTA funds many important programs and activities at our school.  We provide in-school cultural arts assemblies, funding for field trips and transportation costs, folders for every student, events that enhance our community, Family Fun Nights, such as Back to School Movie Night, Trunk or Treat, The School Store, The Holiday Fair, Holiday Store, School Dance, Science Fair, Plant Sale, Teacher Appreciation, and much more!

We are asking that you DO NOT go door to door to solicit support.  In addition to the pledge sheets, the packet contains raffle tickets (please fill out for your child), and a Panther Paw for your child to decorate as he or she chooses.  The Panther Paw should be returned to your classroom teacher as soon as possible, so that we can decorate the school and get everyone excited about the prowl. 

 

Pledge sheets, contributions and raffle tickets should be handed in by Friday, October 5, 2018.
