Junior Night
On Wednesday, November 28th, we invited junior students and their families to join us in the Jonathan Law High School Media Center for an exciting, interactive and informative program on the college search, selection and application process, as well as alternative post high school options. The annual Junior Night jump starts this process for families preparing for life after high school.
Pace University Trip
November 1, 2018 - Our school counselors and Computer Science faculty member, Mrs. Corriveau, took underclassmen to visit Pace University (Pleasantville campus) in Westchester, New York. Students participated in an information session, campus tour, and had lunch in the dining hall. As an extra-special component, a former Lawman and current student at Pace met up with the group to talk about his post-high school experiences!
Junior Night
December 6, 2017 - Current junior students and their families attended Junior Night, an annual evening event held at Law. The goal is to connect with parents/guardians and students about the college process and how to get prepared for the all-important senior year!
Milford College Fair
March 22, 2018
In collaboration with the Joseph A. Foran School Counseling Department, we were pleased to host the annual Milford City-Wide College Fair. On this night we had 94 college and university representatives available to speak with our Milford students and families. Plus, there were information sessions on Financial Aid as well as NCAA rules/regulations for college athletes. Thanks to all that made this night a success!
Columbia University Trip
October 24, 2017 - The College and Career team took some very interested underclassmen to Columbia University in New York City. Our Lawmazing students toured the campus, met with Columbia students and faculty and experienced the Ivy League school in session!
Sophomore Symposium
On Wednesday, March 6th, sophomore students and their families joined us in the Jonathan Law High School Auditorium for an informative program on preparing for the college process. Several college admissions professionals presented on what students need to do to build their college resume, what to consider when creating a target list of colleges, parts of the college application, and the importance of visit schools of interest. This annual event starts the college exploration process for families.
