School Counseling

OUR MISSION

Jonathan Law High School is a community that exists to maximize the intellectual, the social and emotional growth of each student in a safe, stable, supportive environment. We believe that a positive, collaborative atmosphere fosters high expectations and recognizes individual differences. In partnership with students, parents and the community we are committed to developing the skills necessary for educational career and life choices.

Dear Jonathan Law Families,

As a result of school closures in response to COVID-19, school counselors will be out of the office for an unforeseen amount of time. The best way to contact your school counselor is through email at their Milford Public School email address. That contact information can be found here. If this is an urgent matter regarding you and/or your student (s) well-being, we encourage you to contact the following community resources:

  • 211 – This service can connect you with health and human services such as heat, food, housing, emergency mental health services, etc.   You can dial 211 from any phone.

  • Bridges Healthcare – Located in Milford, the agency provides mental health services.   (203) 878-6365

  • Clifford W. Beers – Located in New Haven, the agency provides mental health services.   (203) 772-1270

If this is a medical emergency, please call 911.

Please check the MPS website to access the Frequently Asked Questions Resource document.

Stay Well,

The School Counseling Department
