Classroom PageClassroom behavior, expectations, etc.
I know your children will enjoy their experiences in 3rd grade. We are going to have a very special and exciting time together. I look forward to meeting you at Open House and sharing details about our year. For now, here is some helpful information.
Children may bring in insects for our science study---dead or alive but they must be in plastic, not glass, for safety reasons. (No spiders---all insects have 6 legs)
We have several stories with riddles--- if you know one your child can share, write it down and send it in with him or her to ask the class.
We have all the supplies we, “Need,” but optional extra items to have include: already sharpened pencils, a hand held plastic pencil sharpener, scissors, a box of crayons, a pencil box, a shoe box if you happen to have one
*binders, notebooks and assignment pads should NOT be brought in
Summer reading and math work should be handed in by next Friday.
Please do not hesitate to contact me. I appreciate knowing about your cares and concerns.
(Send in a hand written note, or e-mail me at: email@example.com)
I feel very fortunate to be your child’s teacher and hope to share a great year with you too.
Sincerely, Ms. Schaaf
