Set the Level of Expectation

In developing our Positive Behavior Program, there was no better place to start than with our existing School ‘Golden Rules’ – Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.  These three messages have been in place since the start of the year and our students have a clear understanding of them.  All three of these requirements are in place – in ALL school-related locations:  Classroom, Hallway, Bathrooms, Cafeteria, Playground, at Arrival/Dismissal, and on the Bus.  Let’s take a look at some examples of what we have defined as the expected behavior in these places.
