FRIDAY, June 21st: Milford’s MAKE MUSIC DAY, (at various locations around the entire city – check the schedule link below)
WOW! WOW! WOW! On Friday, we will join together with 750 cities around the globe in celebration of MAKE MUSIC DAY! Now in its second year here in Milford, this daylong, musical free-for-all celebrates music in all forms, encouraging people to ‘band together’ and play in free public concerts. This annual event occurs on the summer solstice as a tribute to this terrific season.
In Milford, we can enjoy more than 30 acts that will be placed around town in places we all know and love: the steps of City Hall, the Downtown Green/Gazebo, Milford Public Library, the Milford Boat Launch, and more. Click HERE to see the full list of performances and locations. Enjoy, Milford!

On May 3, 2019, Milford lost a great legend and pioneer in the world of women’s athletics: Edna L. Fraser. Edna had a long, illustrious career as an athlete, as a member (centerfielder) of the Raybestos Brakettes Women’s softball organization, as an educator in the Milford Public Schools, as the former Athletic Director at Foran High, and as an advocate for girls’ sports in the form of Title IX. FLYER.
All friends are welcome to take part in this 3-prong event on Sunday. The Celebration will begin with a Tribute Basketball Game in the Edna Fraser Gymnasium @ Foran High School (10:00 a.m.). The Program of Celebration will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. (also in the Gym). From there, a Brunch will be offered, beginning at about 12:30. RSVP is suggested for brunch (email to April Hunt @ firstname.lastname@example.org -- so they may plan appropriately).
Please join us as we remember Edna and the legacy she left behind.
Tuesday, July 9th: Immunization Clinic @ the Milford Health Dept.
We are pleased to report the Milford Health Dept. will continue to offer THREE free immunization clinics to Milford’s children, as they get ready to enter school in the fall.
