Kindergarten Registration – Take a breath …. Not yet: It happens every year. The minute we all return from the holiday break, we begin to receive a lot of questions about Kindergarten Registration. Hold on, folks … take a breath … and relax. Our online portal will not be opened for Kindergarten Registration until mid-February and we will keep you in the loop on all the dates and details you’ll need.
Adult Education Spring 2019 Catalog Now Available. Wow! Just wow! Wait ‘til you see all the great courses that are available through our stupendous Adult Ed programming! By now, you should have received your own copy of the catalog at your home – but perhaps even easier is to take a look at the entire catalog right online! Click HERE for the full booklet.
And don’t forget – the Adult Ed program offers a variety of courses for folks who wish to complete their high school educations, brush up on their academic skills, become more fluent in English, or are hoping to pursue U.S. Citizenship. These courses are offered free to all Milford residents – check it out.
TOMORROW! Saturday, Jan. 5th, Life in New Haven’s Little Italy – a film by Steve Hamm, Milford Public Library, 2:00 p.m. FREE! Can’t wait! The Milford Public Library will host a screening of the film: The Village: Life in New Haven’s Little Italy. The film tells the story of the city’s Wooster Square neighborhood, which was a tight-knit Italian-American enclave. The film’s director, Steve Hamm, is a freelance writer and filmmaker. FREE!
Friday, Jan. 11th, “What Makes You Proud of America” Essay Contest, Milford Elks, Deadline to submit is 1/11 to Asst. Supt. Office/Parsons: Here’s a contest for students in Grades 5-8. “What Makes You Proud of America”? Students are asked to compose a 300-word essay on the topic and make sure it is received in the Asst. Superintendent’s office no later than Friday, Jan. 11th. Please take a look at the RULES in order to comply with the contest requirements. Good luck! LINK.
