Citation Benchmarks for the Research Project
Third Grade
The recommended citation for 3rd graders was to use a revised format. It is most important that they learn that they must credit all materials used for their reports including graphics, words, and thoughts. Since this is their first introduction to a research project, it is more important to to understand the importance of citing work and to get the essential information of a citation written. In fourth grade they will then add all components of a good citation.
