Five Plump Peas

Five plump peas

in a pea pod pressed

One grew...

Two grew....

So did all the rest.

They grew and grew.

They grew and never stopped.

They grew so fat that

the pea pod popped!

Signs of Spring

by Mabel Duch

How do you know

When it's finally spring?

By a robin's return

or the first touch of green?

By a warm little breeze

That's ruffling your hair?

A new butterfly?

A fresh scent in the air?

Or just by the way that you're feeling inside?

A tingly new joy

you simply can't hide?

Seeds Chant

Big seeds, small seeds;

Seeds grow into plants.

Orange seeds, apple seeds;

Seeds grow into plants.

Bean seeds, tomato seeds;

Seeds grow into plants.

Corn seeds, pumpkin seeds;

Seeds grow into plants.

Carrot seeds, melon seeds;

Seeds grow into plants.

Wheat seeds, lettuce seeds;

Seeds grow into plants.

Pretty Tulips

Pretty tulips, pretty tulips

Standing in a row.

When I see you in my garden,

I like to watch you grow.

Pretty tulips, pretty tulips,

Standing oh so tall.

I would like to pick a few,

But I won't pick you all!
