
Friday is Fruit Day! Eating healthy food is very important. First grade is a perfect time to instill the importance of making good food choices and to give the children an opportunity to try different fruit (and sometimes vegetables!). We might decide to eat apples on Friday and then learn that there are many different kinds of apples. Have you ever eaten star fruit? Many of the first graders can tell you that star fruit is similar to an apple and a grape!
