Governor from 1852-1854.
Site of one of his houses.

Memorial Flagpole:
Dedicated to those who gave their lives in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.


 
 

Memorial Fountain:
Dedicated in 1912 to town founder Thomas Ford by his descendents.

Another house built for the former governor, in 1850.

J.W. Fowler & Simon Lake House:

Civil War Monument:
Dedicated in 1888 to all who fought in the Civil War.

Bandstand and Korean-Vietnam War Memorial:
Bandstand built in 1853.  War Memorial dedicated in 1986 to all who are missing and fell in Korea and Vietnam.


 
 

Cannon Barrel:
Disappeared when roads were paved then reappeared when sidewalks were renovated.
 
Eels-Stowe House:
Built in 1669.

Bryan Downs House:
1 of 3 historic houses maintained by the town.


 
 

Stockade House:
Built in 1659,first house outside the stockade fence that protected Milford.

Memorial Bridge and Tower
Dedicated to town founders in 1889. 


 
 
 

Common House Marker:
The first settlers landed their belongings here in 1639.
 
Grist Mill Marker:
Site of the first grist mill in Milford.

Milford Founders Stone:
Dedicated at the 350th anniversary of Milford.


 
 

Whalley & Golfe Marker:
English judges who voted to kill the king, hid from the British for 2 years in Milford.

Jonathan Law Marker: 
At this site was the house of Jonathan Law, 2nd man from Milford to be governor.
